Tigerbow welcomes Fred Kern to its Advisory Board. http://bit.ly/Rvmh1 Fred has spent approximately 40 years in the software industry managing sales, marketing, consulting, and strategy for companies in North America, Europe and Asia. Fred is currently a senior executive at Maplesoft where he leads the company’s North American and International businesses. Prior to joining Maplesoft, Fred spent eight years as VP of Worldwide Sales at MathWorks, three years as Senior VP of Worldwide Sales and Services at Mathsoft, and ten years as Sales Director at Bolt Beranek and Newman. Fred was also founder and CEO of International Technologies. Prior to his executive career, Fred held roles including system architect and consulting manager with TMI Systems where he developed communications and cryptography systems, and engineer at GTE Sylvania where he built real-time testbeds and simulators for underwater communications. Previously, Fred worked for Brookhaven National Labs developing mathematical analysis software for a precursor device to today’s CT Scan, and for Burroughs where he developed system software for early ATMs. Fred holds a Masters degree from M.I.T., where he specialized in Artificial Intelligence, and a Bachelors degree from Queens College, City University of New York, where he completed a combined major in Math, Computer Science and Physics. Fred is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a 2-time winner of the “top student” award from the New York City chapter of the Mathematical Association of America.
